Main Purpose

To lead geophysical interpretation and modeling activities for exploration and development projects by leveraging advanced seismic data analysis, geophysical logging interpretation, and 3D geological modeling. The role is pivotal in reducing subsurface uncertainty and optimizing field development strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data for prospect generation and reservoir characterization.
  • Perform seismic attribute analysis and modeling to delineate subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
  • Interpret lithology and petrophysical properties from geophysical logs.
  • Conduct quality projections and reservoir property estimation from geophysical data sets.
  • Deliver structural interpretation using integrated geophysical and geological inputs.
  • Execute 3D domain modeling and interpretation using industry-standard geophysical software.
  • Validate interpretation results through integration with well data, core analysis, and field development plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior geoscientists and geophysicists.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including geology, petrophysics, and reservoir engineering.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 15–20 years of relevant experience in geophysics, with a strong focus on seismic data interpretation and geophysical log analysis.
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong expertise in seismic interpretation, attribute analysis, and log-based lithology interpretation.
  • Proficiency in geophysical software such as Petrel, Kingdom, Paradigm, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of structural geology and reservoir geophysics.
  • Experience in integrating multiple data types for comprehensive subsurface models.
