Job Description

The primary function of a Senior Associate involves reviewing work prepared by associates and advanced associates on moderate to complex tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Display a strong understanding of moderate and advanced tax concepts on partnership and corporate tax returns, and continuously enhance tax knowledge through client work and staying up to date with tax developments.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to their team.
  • Train and mentor associates and advanced associates.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with teams in India and in the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Manage and lead a team effectively with minimal assistance.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Skills Required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and coaching/mentoring abilities
  • Experience working on US business tax returns (1065/1120) with complex situations and special allocations
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8865, 5471, 5472 and 1116

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Corporate taxation (1065/1120)
