Compliance Manager Position Overview

The primary function of this role is to ensure the organization's business operations comply with relevant national and international laws, regulations, professional standards, and internal policy guidelines.

This Compliance Manager position requires a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to build trust with customers through effective compliance practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical knowledge and business acumen, with experience in implementing and managing IT controls and compliance frameworks for international organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT controls and compliance frameworks that meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and enhance security measures within SaaS environments to prevent potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage customer and third-party attestations, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and certification requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and assurance programs to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement GRC tools and platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in practical compliance program implementation, preferably in an international environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; academic degree desired in fields related to IT security, risk management, or information security.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are mandatory.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ISC2 or CompTIA) are desirable or willingness to obtain them.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in functional management (not hierarchical).
  • Familiarity with secure software development life cycle (SDLC) tooling and application security.
  • Knowledge of Open Banking/PSD2 is advantageous but not essential.
