Job Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).

You will identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tracking tools e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla.

In addition, you will develop testing documents such as STD, STR, SDD, SRS.

Performance regression, functional, integration, performance, and usability testing are all part of your responsibilities.

Set up and maintain automation frameworks for continuous testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Create and execute appropriate test strategies and processes that align with business objectives and project timelines.

Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and technologies for quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tracking tools.
  • Develop testing documents such as STD, STR, SDD, SRS.
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, performance, and usability testing.
  • Set up and maintain automation frameworks for continuous testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create and execute appropriate test strategies and processes that align with business objectives and project timelines.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience 3–5 years as a QA Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language - Java, Python, JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems e.g., Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Experience with API testing - Postman, RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools - JMeter, LoadRunner.
  • Exposure to cloud environments AWS, Azure, GCP and containerised applications Docker, Kubernetes.

Qualifications and Certification:

  • B.E / B.tech / MCA
  • Certification in QA testing will be an advantage.
