Key Plant Operations Role

The Head of Operations oversees end-to-end plant operations, encompassing production, quality control, maintenance, manpower allocation, cost management, delivery, and compliance. Effective planning, coordination, and execution are vital to meeting organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning & Control: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while aligning with customer schedules through effective PPC coordination.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, drive a zero-defect culture, and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Maintenance & Uptime: Maintain high uptime for critical equipment and utilities, adhering to preventive maintenance schedules.
  • People Management: Lead teams, conduct skill development programs, performance reviews, and daily briefings to foster a productive work environment.
  • Cost, Scrap & Rework Control: Minimize material wastage, power consumption, and rework by monitoring and reducing in-house rejection trends.
  • Safety, Health & Environment (EHS): Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with statutory and environmental norms.
Reporting & Review Structure

Production and quality performance reporting is conducted daily, with interdepartmental review meetings held weekly and submission of MIS (Efficiency, Rejection, Delivery, Cost) on a monthly basis. Quarterly reviews involve strategic planning, KPI review, and performance appraisal inputs.

Mandatory Requirements

A strong educational background, preferably in mechanical or industrial engineering, is essential for this role. Proficiency in MS Excel and excellent decision-making and time management skills are also required. English communication skills, including proficiency in written and spoken English, are mandatory for success in this position.
