This position offers the ideal opportunity for a skilled API tester to utilize their expertise in manual and automated testing approaches. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Backend Services: Validate backend services and functionality using Postman to guarantee reliability and performance.
  • Automated Testing Expertise: Use RestAssured or Playwright to automate API tests, enabling faster regression and continuous validation.
  • Test Case Development: Develop and document test cases, scenarios, and data based on business requirements.
  • Defect Management: Log, track, and manage bugs using JIRA or Azure DevOps, collaborating with development teams for resolution.
  • Automation Pipeline: Build and manage test automation pipelines using Jenkins integrated within CI/CD workflows.
  • Development Tools: Utilize Visual Studio or VS Code as primary IDEs to develop and maintain automation scripts.
  • Agile Participation: Engage in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Testing Assurance: Ensure complete test coverage, conducting smoke, sanity, regression, and integration testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in API testing, including manual (Postman) and automated (RestAssured, Playwright).
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and other test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Good knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML formats.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in end-to-end automation framework development for APIs.
  • Exposure to web UI automation tools or frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries for backend validation.
  • Experience working on real-time applications in domains like e-commerce or finance.
