We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team.

  • Operational Management:
    • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing, billing, and stock management.
    • Monitor drug availability and ensure that there are adequate levels of essential medicines on hand.
    • Ensure that all medicines are stored in accordance with statutory norms.
    • Oversee the movement of drugs, surgical items, and consumables into and out of the pharmacy.
  • Procurement & Inventory Control:
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure medicines and consumables in a timely manner.
    • Implement cost control measures while maintaining the highest quality standards.
    • Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and non-moving stocks and take corrective action as necessary.
    • Perform periodic physical verification of stock and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Quality:
    • Ensure that pharmacy operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and high-value drugs.
    • Validate prescriptions, promote rational drug use, and ensure patient safety protocols are followed.
  • Team Management:
    • Supervise pharmacists and support staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Provide training, guidance, and continuous learning opportunities to pharmacy staff.
    • Schedule duties and manage manpower requirements effectively.
  • Financial & Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing pharmacy budgets and monitoring expenditures.
    • Analyze sales, consumption trends, and prepare management information system (MIS) reports for senior management.
    • Support audits (internal, external, and statutory) and ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NCs).
    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm), or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D)
    • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in hospital pharmacy, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
    • Licenses: Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council
