Job Title: BIM Professional

About the Role:
BIM professionals are in high demand to support the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across various projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and interpret project information requirements.
  • Design and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) using Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop CDEs.
  • Establish and implement information structures and maintenance standards for Information Models.
  • Manage CDE processes, validate compliance, and advise on non-compliance.
  • Initiate and implement Project Information Plans.
  • Liaise with project team members and stakeholders to foster a collaborative working culture.
  • Assist in establishing information exchange processes, including defining procedures for meetings.
  • Help report progress, obstacles, and issues to project leadership.
  • Provide assistance in preparing bids with BIM requirements.
  • Develop BIM Execution Plans for kick-off projects.
  • Deliver consultancy works during project lifecycles.
  • Host workshops to enable project team collaboration.
  • Define business requirements and associated processes to deliver BIM.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to clients through BIM.

Requirements:
  • Professional membership of Engineering Council organisations is preferred.
  • A degree related to architecture, engineering, or construction is desired.
  • Academic and/or industry qualifications in ICT are required.
  • Specialist knowledge of BIM, CAD, and IPD is essential.
  • Working knowledge of data/information exchange protocols is necessary.
  • Knowledge of British and ISO industry standards is required.
  • Engineering contracts knowledge is beneficial.
  • Understanding of IT and network infrastructure principles is needed.
  • Risk management principles knowledge is essential.
  • Coding languages like Dynamo and Python are desirable.
