Job Description

As a Lead Systems Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments. Your key responsibilities will include architecting, deploying, and optimizing Azure-based solutions, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

You will lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives with an emphasis on Azure technologies and develop and maintain infrastructure as code using modern DevOps practices. Additionally, you will implement and manage containerized workloads using AKS and EKS, establish and enforce cloud security standards and best practices across environments, and build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments.

You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and optimize cloud resource usage and implement cost management strategies. You will also troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, plus working knowledge of AWS and GCP platforms
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes orchestration, particularly AKS, with knowledge of EKS
  • Experience with Karpenter, ArgoCD, and Istio in container environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud security principles and implementations
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud networking concepts and solutions
  • Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (particularly Terraform, Azure ARM templates, and AWS CloudFormations)
  • Self-driven work ethic with ability to manage complex projects independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
