The Opportunity

We are expanding our engineering capabilities and seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer.

This is a senior-level role requiring deep engineering understanding, strong customer communication, and the ability to deliver manufacturable solutions while minimizing changes to tooling.

  • Develop thermoformed panels using SolidWorks.
  • Translate customer rough concepts into production-ready 3D and 2D designs.
  • Adapt panel designs to changing project requirements.
  • Engineer rear side constructions including reinforcements, ventilation solutions, and mounting details.
  • Work in direct exchange with clients to align technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in CAD design for thermoformed plastic components.
  • SolidWorks expert level surface modeling, assemblies, tool-related adjustments.
  • Background in railway, automotive, or transportation interiors.
  • Knowledge of plastics material properties, tooling, and production processes.
  • Ability to translate conceptual sketches into manufacturable designs.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction and engineering discussions.
