Job Title: Project Director

">Project Management and Engineering Leadership Opportunity

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project management, scheduling, planning, erection, and commissioning of projects within stipulated timelines.
  • Oversee monthly MIS reporting to senior management about engineering, design, and project execution.
  • Develop project scope, Gantt chart, budget, safety plan involving all relevant stakeholders for delivery of distributed projects.
  • Implement health and safety protocols and ensure adherence.
  • Support team in troubleshooting installation related issues.
  • Ensure BOM submitted to Purchase team on time with utmost accuracy.
  • Resolve critical issues related to DGPD & ZFD selection and configuration for timely handover to Asset Management team.
  • Optimise cost of delivered projects by regular tracking of major costs.
  • Update Projects WBS in ERP on a regular basis.
  • Provide design and engineering support for distributed projects.
  • Minimise costs in terms of materials used by optimising designs.
  • Validate designs, identify constraints, bottlenecks, and provide corrective actions.
  • Prioritise projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Coordinate client meetings, vendor meetings, site visits, and necessary documentation.
  • Reduce design iterations required by taking sufficient inputs.
  • Understand organisation requirements from engineering and project execution perspectives and build necessary skills and technical competency within the team.
  • Provide technical and safety training to team members.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all projects in OneDrive and ERP.
  • Ensure files are easily accessible on Drive and maintain proper checklists/documentation.
  • Adhere to standards/guidelines issued by Electricity Boards, MNRE, IEC, IEEE, BIS, etc.
  • Implement new ideas, design software to add value in engineering design.
  • Identify resource requirements including design software to meet design goals.
    • Coordination with other departments
      • Coordination with sales team to understand client requirements and hold need-based meetings.
      • Manage Commercial/SoW related issues with sales team proactively.
      • Follow up and coordinate with purchase team for timely dispatch of material to sites.
      • Regular discussion with Asset Management team for smooth handover of projects as per guidelines.
      • Support project team to resolve site/client related issues.
        • Vendor Management
          • Empanel, develop, and manage execution vendors for flawless execution of projects.
          • Develop internal team to manage vendors.
          • Ensure ESG compliance by vendors.
          • Build processes to ensure good quality of delivered projects.
          • Provide necessary safety training to vendors for incident/accident-free execution of projects.

18-22 years of experience.
