Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Corporate Attorney with a strong background in IT services and consulting. The role involves providing legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters ensuring compliance and supporting business operations with risk-mitigated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Draft review and negotiate commercial contracts MSAs SOWs NDAs and vendor agreements to ensure mutually beneficial terms.
  • Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance compliance employment and regulatory matters including data protection and international regulations.
  • Support business teams in client negotiations and enable smooth deal closures by mitigating risks and resolving conflicts.
  • Ensure global compliance with data protection IT laws and international regulations maintaining the company's reputation and integrity.
  • Manage legal risks proactively providing strategic advice to leadership to drive informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with external counsel for litigation arbitration and dispute resolution upholding the company's interests.
  • Develop and implement policies processes and compliance frameworks for global operations promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal best practices empowering employees with knowledge and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: LLB/LLM degree from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law preferably in IT services or consulting organizations.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation with international clients demonstrating cultural agility and flexibility.
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with data privacy intellectual property labor and employment laws as well as relevant industry regulations.
  • Ability: Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced global environment prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a mid-to-large IT services/consulting company with exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and cross-border legal issues.
  • Membership in a Bar Council / Corporate Legal Association is a plus demonstrating commitment to professional development and community engagement.
