Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Professional with a proven track record of efficiently managing accounts payable for a portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments with accuracy and compliance to established company policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, resolve issues, and ensure timely payments in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions to prevent future errors.
  • Support month-end close activities, accruals, and financial reporting to provide transparent financial insights.
  • Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and internal teams for invoice coding and approvals to ensure seamless communication.
  • Prepare and schedule payments via various methods, including ACH and wire transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP, as well as adherence to company accounting standards.
  • Monitor cash flow and payment schedules to optimize liquidity and minimize the risk of late payments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in the real estate sector is highly valued, with a strong understanding of U.S.-based accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Yardi experience is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
