Senior Process Safety & HSE Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety and HSE professional with 8+ years of experience in oil and gas projects onshore and offshore.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Process Safety Management principles and international HSE standards across engineering construction and operational phases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate Hazard Operability studies, Hazard Identification, SIL/LOPA risk assessments
  • Prepare and review: Safety Philosophies, Fire Risk Assessments, Design Safety Rules, Hazardous Area Classification
  • Develop Quantitative Risk Analysis, FERA, ESSA, and other safety studies with third-party assistance if needed
  • Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications from a safety design perspective
  • Support design reviews, manage changes, and alarm rationalization
  • Support Health Safety and Environmental plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects
  • Conduct site Health Safety and Environmental inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning
  • Ensure adherence to international HSE standards OSHA ISO 45001 ISO 14001
  • Lead or support incident investigation root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Foster a positive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Process Environmental or Safety Engineering
  • 8+ years in process safety and HSE preferably in EPC design project environments
  • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management risk assessment and HSE regulations
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST PHA-Pro BowTieXP DNV software
  • Certifications NEBOSH IGC PSM TÜV Functional Safety or equivalent preferred
