Senior Engineer – Communications (Long Range & Satcom)
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead the design and integration of long-range and satcom systems for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
Key Responsibilities- Design and integrate long-range and satcom systems for UAS.
- Define system architectures and requirements.
- Integrate payloads, antennas, and ground control stations.
- Conduct lab and field testing for validation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex RF/data link issues.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field.
- 7-10+ years of experience in communication system design and development.
- Strong expertise in RF engineering, SDR, data links, and satcom (Inmarsat, Iridium, Starlink).
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Defence/aerospace background and familiarity with military/commercial communication standards are an asset.
