**Senior GL Accountant Role Overview**

The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial transactions and overseeing closing processes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • **General Ledger Accounting**: Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • **Closing Processes**: Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.

  • **Audits and Compliance**: Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explaining accounting practices.
  • **Financial Analysis**: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • **Internal Controls**: Develop and maintain effective internal controls, enhancing financial accuracy and reporting efficiency.
  • **Collaboration**: Work closely with other finance teams to streamline financial processes and reporting.

**Accounting Expertise**: The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, including a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.

**Education and Certifications**: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA, are highly valued.
