AI Platform Engineer Leader

We seek a distinguished AI platform engineer to spearhead the development of our cutting-edge commerce platform.

This IC role involves hands-on engineering, building end-to-end systems, designing data models, writing production code, and delivering high-quality solutions. As a key team member, you will create robust systems with real users, drive technical innovation, and scale our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex systems, including AI capabilities, high-throughput content processing, identity, privacy, and trust mechanisms, and product surfaces.
  • Build and maintain scalable and efficient systems, utilizing Java 23, Spring Boot 3, Python, PostgreSQL, Flutter, ReactJS, and AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, drive innovation, and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Requirements
  • 6-10+ years of experience in building production systems as the primary builder, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Java + Spring Boot and Python, with a comfort level in working with multiple programming languages.
  • Strong systems thinking, with expertise in data models, performance budgets, failure handling, security, and privacy.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation, READMEs, and runbooks.
