Design Director for AI-Powered Financial Interfaces

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement user interface designs that balance automation with user control.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and engineers to create experiences that reflect our unique value proposition.
  • Ensure transparency, trust, and explainability in AI behaviors, making them intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Support user research and usability testing efforts with insights that inform design iteration.
  • Contribute to and help evolve our internal design system to meet the needs of agentic AI interfaces.
  • Refine designs based on data, feedback, and behavioral insights.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of UX/UI design experience with exposure to fintech, SaaS, or data-heavy tools.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing user-first design thinking, clean UI design, and interest in complex interaction design.
  • Proficiency in tools like Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • A foundational understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI), with interest in human-AI interaction.
  • Curiosity, humility, and eagerness to grow, especially in applying design to AI-powered products.
  • Clear communication and openness to feedback across disciplines.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience designing for fintech platforms, banking interfaces, or investment tools.
  • Understanding of agent-based systems, chat interfaces, or AI explainability patterns.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and regulatory considerations.
