The Opportunity:

Our organization seeks an initiative-driven and diligent contract lawyer to join our global legal team.

This role will involve liaising and managing all aspects of the organization's contractual arrangements with vendors, including related enterprise documentation.

A successful candidate should be detail-oriented and thrive in an independent contributor environment.

This contract lawyer will manage contract work, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor contracts and enterprise documentation.

Familiarity with applicable regulatory outsourcing requirements, third-party risk governance and management frameworks, and audit requirements will be advantageous.

Strong drafting skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contract documentation across the company, ensuring that agreements with counterparties e.g. service providers, are robust.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of vendor management processes.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Procure that appropriate legal templates are developed and used.
  • Provide support to stakeholders as necessary, including liaising with external vendors to negotiate agreements.
  • Ensure overall compliance with applicable laws and regulations in our framework.

Requirements

  • Experience in contract law and commercial law with a focus on vendor and enterprise agreements are essential.
  • Experience in intellectual property law is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • Qualifications: Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience.
