Job Summary

  • As a Service Technician at Simple Energy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and customer satisfaction of our electric vehicles across various industries.
  • With a strong focus on technical expertise and service excellence, you will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency and meeting organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting
    • Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues with EV scooters.
    • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems to determine root causes.
  • Repair and Maintenance
    • Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on EV scooters, including battery replacements, brake adjustments, tire changes, and software updates.
    • Ensure all work is performed according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
  • Vehicle Inspection
    • Perform routine inspections to assess the condition of EV scooters.
    • Check for wear and tear, damage, and potential safety hazards.
    • Recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Customer Service
    • Interact with customers to understand their concerns and provide technical assistance.
    • Explain repair options, costs, and timelines clearly.
    • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the service process.
  • Parts Replacement
    • Replace faulty or worn-out parts, such as motors, controllers, brakes, lights, and other components.
    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement.
  • Software Updates
    • Install and update software systems in EV scooters to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compatibility with new features or improvements.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure that EV scooters meet safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
    • Complete service reports and documentation for recordkeeping and analysis.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Perform quality checks on completed repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure that EV scooters are functioning correctly and reliably.
    • Conduct test rides or inspections to verify repairs.
  • Continuous Learning
    • Stay updated with EV scooter technology advancements, new models, and manufacturer guidelines through training programs, workshops, or self-study.
    • Apply new knowledge and skills to improve service delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electric vehicle systems, including batteries, motors, controllers, and charging systems.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications in automotive technology, electrical systems, or EV maintenance is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with customers, understand their needs, and provide satisfactory solutions.
