Mobile Applications Architect

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Applications Architect to lead our cross-functional team of engineers in designing and developing cutting-edge mobile applications.

As a key member of our engineering organization, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and drive architectural solutions that meet business needs. Your expertise in React Native will enable us to deliver high-quality mobile experiences for our users.

The ideal candidate has experience in solution design for complex features within mobile apps, working with applications used at scale, or which were mission critical to their customer. You have worked in product-driven companies and have a track record of driving pace and delivery. You are comfortable writing production code and navigating between detail and broader context.

We value strong self-learning drives and adaptability in incorporating new tools and technologies, such as generative AI. If you have experience with payment or mobile banking solutions, this is a plus.

  • Drive architectural solutions collaboratively with your team and engineering leadership
  • Write production code regularly as a core contributor
  • Own operational excellence for systems including monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements
  • Champion modern development practices
  • Lead a team of software engineers and foster a positive culture

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in mobile system design and solution ownership
  • Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable with LLMs and adapting workflows
  • Knowledge of React Native and/or related frameworks

Technical Background:

  • React Native for cross-platform mobile development
  • A modern graphql based api
  • Application monitoring tools like Sentry, Datadog, Segment
  • A backend built on serverless, event driven system architecture running on AWS
