Job Title

Principal Product Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define business needs from customers and prospects and consolidate them into new product concepts or upgrades.
  • Formalize requirements by proposing solutions to customers, assessing potential gaps, and writing high-level business requirements.
  • Embark customers and Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge, and ensure mutual understanding of the business.
  • Maximize agile team outcome by translating requirements into epics and/or user stories, prioritizing them, and validating delivery.
  • Maintain high levels of professionalism, proactive communication, and positive attitude.

Follow-up customer satisfaction

  • Provide support and assistance to customers.
  • Monitor product acceptance, performance, and satisfaction.
  • Take corrective action as necessary.

Promote the product

  • Provide key information on the product to define the value proposition.
  • Contribute to the launch plan with Product Marketing and other associated teams.
  • Work with Product Marketing on strategy, pricing, and product descriptions.
  • Create standard and tailor-made presentations, and demo scripts showing product value.
  • Give presentations, demos, and familiarization sessions to customers, or train Sales to perform them.
  • Ensure all training materials, implementation guidelines are up-to-date to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Participate to the preparation of key events, guaranteeing the success of product launch and follow-up.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI for the product.

Customer/Travel:

  • Frequent interaction with current and prospective airline customers as well as with other Amadeus teams including R&D, implementation, and account teams.
  • Travel (up to 20%) for various internal and external meeting/workshops (Customer, Industry forums, etc.).

Relevant work experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in setting product requirements and launching successful products.
  • Capable of prioritizing effectively even in situations with little clarity.
  • Established ability to use data to inform decisions and influence outcomes.
  • Proficient in communication; skilled at collaborating with teams that include members in different locations.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a knack for learning and adapting quickly.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in agile methodologies within sizable team projects.
  • Background in conducting market and competitive analysis, as well as managing customer interactions.
  • Knowledge of the Airline Industry is beneficial, particularly systems related to airline inventory, revenue integrity, and distribution.
  • Solid comprehension and hands-on experience with data science, AI/ML.

Education / level of Experience:

BE / BTech / MBA with 10+ yrs. of experience in Product Management from reputed organizations
