Typesetting Specialist

Experienced typesetters are sought to work on book typesetting and page layout design using Adobe InDesign.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle typesetting for books using Adobe InDesign (Mac/Windows).
  • Work with PDF technologies, printer file creation and Acrobat software.
  • Interpret typesetting terminologies, proof markings, specifications and customer instructions.
  • Implement revision corrections, book compilation and preflighting processes.
  • Collaborate with customers on XML workflow.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree and 3+ years of experience in pagination/typesetting.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Acrobat and PitStop.
  • Understanding of proof markings and layout specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators: High-quality typesetting, efficient project completion, excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
