About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team.

  • This is a key role in developing non-infringing Upstream processes for Biosimilar process development based on CHO and other mammalian cell lines.
  • You will be responsible for understanding cell lines, cell culture, and Bioreactor process-based biotherapeutic proteins development towards submission in India and various regulated countries.
  • Your duties will include developing understanding of developmental requirements for India, ROW, and regulated markets (Phase-I and III) and fulfilling their needs during development of respective geographies.
  • Additionally, you will plan and execute experiments as part of process development, Upstream activities at shake flask and Bioreactor stages for recombinant molecules.
  • Responsibilities also include being responsible for Media and Feed formulation and preparation, components role verification, and utilization based on spent media analysis for overall process improvement.
  • You will design and conduct process characterization for Upstream development.
  • This position involves Process scale up and scale down operation at various scales of Bioreactors.
  • As a key member of the team, you will analyze scientific research data using statistical software to analyze trends and patterns to help interpretation and establish the robust process.
  • You will lead a team of Scientists and Senior Scientists for day-to-day Cell culture works at labs and active productive coordination with cell culture and analytical groups for timely completion of projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate work performance at Production plants or any 3rd party Manufacturing units.
  • Support commercialization activities including tech transfer, process validation studies, manufacturing investigation, trend evaluation, and troubleshooting.
  • Literature survey, Patents identification, and writing research papers are also part of your responsibilities.
  • You will prepare CMC data packages, URS, Qualifications, Process development reports, BMR, and implementation of Quality systems.
  • Maintain good working relationships through frequent scientific discussions, continuous learning, and meeting targeted deliverables.
Requirements
  • Candidates should have expertise in Upstream related Instruments, Cell culture, and Bioreactor processes for implementing techniques towards developing the robust process in time-bound manners.
  • You must be an effective team player who can connect inter and intra-departmental teammates with expedited productive outcomes.
  • Demonstrate and continue implementing good documentation practices with data traceability.
  • Inculcate scientific acumen in team members and exhibit good leadership.
  • A clear and convincing oral and written communication in English is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and handling statistical software and related analytical tools is required.
  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in relevant field or equivalent experience is desired.
