We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to lead our Internal Police Reforms project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of this critical initiative, which aims to enhance policing practices and improve public safety.

  • The Project Coordinator will play a key role in designing and implementing research methodologies to identify public grievances and develop effective solutions.">
  • They will work closely with state-level officials, police commissioners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.">
  • Additionally, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for compiling and analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing regular updates to the donor agency.">
  • They will also assist in developing training materials, conducting workshops, and supervising training programs in three states.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • At least 15 years of experience in field-level policing, including supervision over police stations.">
  • Strong knowledge of criminal law and police manuals, as well as recommendations from various police commissions and committees.">
  • Passion for police reforms and citizen-centric policing.">
  • Excellent communication and training/briefing skills.">
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Hindi.">
  • Basic computer skills.">
  • Good health to undertake extensive field visits.">

">Key Responsibilities:">

  2. Supervise primary research to identify public grievances in three States through public consultation meetings and household surveys.">
  3. Compile and analyze data, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to the donor agency.">
  4. Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and supervise training programs in three states.">
  5. Coordinate with state-level officials, police commissioners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.">
  6. Assist in developing change manuals, engaging with experts, and formulating revised SOPs/Manuals.">
  7. Monitor implementation, take corrective actions based on analysis, and prepare main project reports.">
  8. Lead preparation of training materials, brief trainers on change manual, and supervise training programs in three states.">

Leadership Role:

The Project Director, together with the Project Coordinator or Deputy Project Coordinator and three State Supervisors, will provide overall leadership and coordination to the project. In the absence of the Project Director, the Project Coordinator will assume project leadership.
