Job Summary:

Our organization seeks a seasoned finance leader to oversee our financial operations in India. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, accounts, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations Management: Own day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records, accounts, and reports.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Create and manage monthly MIS reports, including P&L, cash flow, and budget vs. actuals, providing timely insights to leadership.
  • Bookkeeping and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date bookkeeping, compliance, and documentation aligned with statutory regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Financial Insights and Support: Support leadership with financial reporting, analysis, and insights to aid decision-making and investor communications.
  • Operational Efficiency: Track and report financial and operational KPIs, ensuring visibility across functions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (sourcing, QA, logistics, warehousing, tech) to align financial processes with business goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage statutory compliance in India (tax filings, audits, etc.) and support UK compliance in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Investor Communications: Assist in preparing investor reports, forecasts, and financial models to support fundraising and growth planning.
  • Process Improvement: Work on process improvements in bookkeeping, MIS, compliance, and financial planning to ensure scalability.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, ideally within a fast-growing or dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaborator, with the ability to work closely with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure financial alignment and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for presenting complex financial information to investors, auditors, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial records and reports.
