Job Title: Strategic Data Designer

We are seeking a seasoned data expert to spearhead our organization's data strategy. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of data warehousing and modeling techniques, as well as experience with distributed computing principles and cloud platforms.

  • Identify and integrate Big Data tools and frameworks to deliver desired capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines by implementing ETL processes, monitoring performance, and advising necessary infrastructure changes.
  • Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.
  • Investigate and analyze alternative solutions for data storage, processing, etc., to ensure streamlined approaches are implemented.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in data engineering skills, including experience with GCP cloud platforms, Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, and Big Query. They will also have knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume, Apache NiFi, or DBT, and experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
