The role of a Staff Engineer in our Cloud Dataplane team is to develop and maintain high-performance, scalable systems using emerging technologies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and utilize cutting-edge technologies to build highly efficient systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and product management to understand and define requirements.
  • Design and develop various services, drive design discussions, publish usage wikis for engineering, develop, deploy, and maintain the services.
  • Work with Support, Application Development, and Product Management teams to develop, maintain, and scale the services.


Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience developing products for the enterprise market.
  • Architecture and design of large projects.
  • Programming expertise in C/C++.
  • Experience in developing software products in the security domain.
  • Experience in TLS/HTTPS.
  • Experience in Computer Networks and TCP/IP Protocol Stack.
  • Experience with HTTP, Browser knowledge, Forward/Reverse proxy.
  • Experience with User authentication, user credential management, and vault integration.
  • Experience with Guacamole.
  • Experience building scalable cloud solutions.
  • Experience with developing APIs.
  • Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
  • Experience in designing and building distributed systems including integration with Pubsub, distributed databases, Redis cache.
  • Experience or exposure in test-driven development.
  • Strong analytical, programming, and troubleshooting skills.
