As a Cloud Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for designing, guiding and reviewing our cloud implementations. Also, you will be responsible for optimising cloud costs accordingly.

What You'll Do
As Cloud Solution Architect in the CCOE Cloud Solutions team, you will:

• Cloud System Development∙
• Responsible for the architecture of the Cloud Infrastructure in scope to the level that it can be realized and reused by the project teams.
• Defines and documents an architecture that decomposes the Solution into modular, easy-to-maintain and extendible subsystems and behaviour.
• Accountable for Cloud Infrastructure designs within scope. Technically responsible for the detailing of the designs in (sub) projects
• Accountable for performance, scalability and security aspects in the design of the Cloud system
• Responsible for the consistency of the different parts and their final integration into a system, for the architectural aspects of the verification and validation of the system
• Has an in-depth understanding of the Cloud Application Architecting & Cloud Infrastructure creation process and design methods.
• Has extensive knowledge in Cloud Security and how to implement it
• Interfacing with stakeholders
• Defines an architecture that complies with all stakeholder requirements.
• Defines and agrees on the SLIs and SLOs with stakeholders.
• Supports all internal teams with Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure
• Supporting System Architect, Project and program management
• Supports System Architect, project and program management in defining Cloud Infrastructure, cloud components, automated deployments and performing Capacity Planning
• Coaches the development team members to contribute optimally to the Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure.
• Leads the Cloud Automation team and CCOE SRE team for the development in hers/his scope, source of Cloud knowledge for the team and a team player.
• Interface to the stakeholders and System Architects of the project and consulted on a regular basis on Cloud architectural and Infrastructure issues
• Advices System Architects and R&D management on make/buy decisions for tools and cloud components.
• Supports System Architects and R&D management in clarifying and managing technical risks (e.g., by initiating analysis, prototypes etc.)
• Within research ensure transferable architectures and landing spot for defined architectures
• Strategic responsibilities
• Contributing to roadmaps, defining the technology and innovation roadmaps
• Contributing to the research and development strategy
• Defining and monitoring research and advanced development activities
• Actively maintaining external relations (R&D-institutes, Universities, partnerships, standardization)
• Personal skills and organizational responsibilities
• Developing and maintaining relevant knowledge
• Coaching and guiding less experienced architects.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor/master's degree in computer science engineering, Information Science, or equivalent
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in Web & Cloud Software Technologies
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an Architect in AWS. Knowledge of other relevant cloud platorms is an advantage
• Strong technical skills in Core Java, JavaScript, Python. Knowledge of other relevant programming languages (Kotlin, Scala, Groovy) is an advantage
• Web Services Technologies: Web Services – REST, SOAP; Multithreaded Applications, Computer Networks – TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4; Computer Graphics – Open GL, Web GL; Data Structures, Databases – Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server; Encryption – PKI, x509 Certificates; Realtime message brokers – MQTT, XMPP; Data Serialization – XML, JSON; Application Frameworks – Spring Boot, Python Pandas; Authentication Frameworks – OAuth2, OpenID
• Cloud Services Technologies: Container Technologies – Docker, Kubernetes; Compute Services – AWS - EC2, Lambda; Azure – App Svs; Storage Services – AWS-S3, EFS, EBS; Other Tools – Cloudwatch, Kinesis, Terraform, Cognito, VPCs, API Gateway, Route 53
• Software Development Tools: IDEs like Eclipse, JetBrains, PgAdmin, Angular IDE; Code quality tools like SonarQube, Coverity; Build tools like Make, GCC, Jenkins, Maven Ant; Source Control tools like Git, SVN, ClearCase
• An interest and preferably working experience in agile development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe…)
• Test-driven development is your way of developing high-quality software
• Knowledge of software development patterns
• Able to coach others in technical areas
• Experience with relational databases and data modelling
• Experience deploying to a cloud-based hosting environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns
• Experience in developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Pipeline solutions
