Lead Audit Specialist

The Lead Audit Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily audit operations and leading a team of auditors to deliver high-quality results. The specialist will work closely with onshore and offshore teams to plan, execute, and report on engagements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute assigned tasks within project scope and deadlines.\
  • Monitor engagement progress and identify best practices on engagements.\
  • Work with the team on methodologies and tools to perform tasks within project scope.\
  • Develop an understanding of Quality and Risk Management procedures, and ensure these are embedded into the engagement team's work.\
  • Actively engage with assurance teams to manage workflow and allocate resources.\
  • Oversee team utilization and address key operational matters.\
  • Standardize review processes and apply best practices across assigned engagements.\
  • Supervise and guide junior staff throughout each stage.\
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop and implement effective audit strategies.\
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry developments.\
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff on technical matters.\
  • Assist in the development of audit programs and procedures.\
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.\
  • Contribute to the preparation of audit reports and presentations.\
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate audit findings and recommendations.\
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in auditing.\
  • Participate in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.\
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.\
  • Work collaboratively as part of a global team.\
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.\
  • Communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.\
