Data Architect Role Overview

As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Strategy: Develop data architecture blueprints for our products, including data flow diagrams, system integrations, and storage solutions.
  2. Cloud Data Platform Development: Lead the development of our cloud-based data platform on AWS, implementing data pipelines and warehouses using AWS services.
  3. Big Data & Legacy Integration: Oversee the ingestion of large-scale datasets from various sources and optimize processing using Spark.
  4. Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical) for our databases and data lakes.
  5. Advanced Analytics Enablement: Work closely with Data Science and Analytics teams to enable AI and advanced analytics.
  6. Efficiency and Scalability: Design efficient, scalable processes for data handling, optimizing ETL jobs and implementing incremental data loading strategies.
  7. Data Governance & Security: Embed data governance into the architecture, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  8. Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with technology leaders and architects to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  9. Innovation and Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging trends in data architecture and evaluate new technologies or approaches.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Experience: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields, with a track record of designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
  2. AWS Cloud & Big Data Expertise.
  3. Data Modeling & Warehousing.
  4. Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in programming for data engineering – Python for ETL/ELT scripting, and solid SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
  5. Analytics and AI Orientation.
  6. Leadership & Soft Skills.
  7. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
