Data and Business Intelligence Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data and Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and SQL development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, delivering insightful analysis through Power BI and Excel, and translating data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools.
- Administer and optimize the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure.
- Ensure high-quality, clean, and well-documented data pipelines and dataflows.
- Implement and maintain data quality controls.
- Manage special data projects as we expand into new areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in data science, computer engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in SQL development and database administration experience (Azure SQL preferred).
- Minimum 3 years' experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools).
- Proficiency with APIs and data integration methods.
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, macros a plus).
- Expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard/report design).
- Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis.
