Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communications & Narrative Development: Develop and execute compelling communication strategies and narratives for political, policy, and election campaigns, leveraging expertise in storytelling and messaging.
• Digital Strategy & Advertising: Oversee digital advertising strategy and execution using analytics to optimize performance and ROI, driving subscriber growth and viewership through optimized video content.
• Content Ideation & Oversight: Build and lead a team of creators to produce engaging and platform-native content, including Shorts and long-form videos, that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Channel Growth & SEO: Drive subscriber growth and viewership by optimizing videos for the YouTube algorithm and analyzing performance metrics, ensuring content reaches its maximum potential.
• Audience Analytics: Analyze audience retention, traffic sources, and demographics to inform future content creation and optimization strategies.
• Content Innovation: Stay ahead of YouTube trends by experimenting with new formats and analyzing competitor channels, continuously evolving content to meet changing audience needs.
• Creator Collaborations: Identify and build relationships with relevant YouTube creators to collaborate on projects and expand reach, fostering partnerships that drive engagement and growth.
• Crisis Communication Preparedness: Develop and support the implementation of crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring timely response and effective management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Political Acumen: Deep understanding of Indian politics, history, socio-economic issues, and current affairs.
• Professional Experience: 8-10 years in communications, video production, or channel management, ideally in media, journalism, news reporting, PR/communications agency, public affairs, or a political/advocacy setting, with demonstrable success in growing and managing a significant YouTube channel.
• YouTube Expertise: Expert knowledge of the YouTube algorithm, content strategy, and SEO principles, ensuring optimal performance and growth.
• Video Storytelling: Strong ability to craft compelling political narratives for video, from scripting to final edit, with experience in news reporting or documentary production a plus.
• Project Management: Skilled in managing video production workflows, creative teams, editors, creators, and project timelines, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
• Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments with a proactive, hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership.
• Proactive & Hands-On Approach: Willingness to roll up one's sleeves and get work done, even when outside the direct scope of the job, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for diverse audiences, excellent English and Hindi written and verbal skills.
• Familiarity with Analytics Tools: Understanding of YouTube Studio is essential.
