Project Oversight Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Project Oversight Specialist to manage end-to-end project activities within our furniture manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will coordinate between design, production, procurement, and installation teams to ensure timely execution of client orders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. Project Definition: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Prepare and present proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • 2. Design Coordination: Collaborate with interior designers and architects to finalize design concepts. Ensure design specifications align with client requirements. Oversee the development of technical drawings and documentation.
  • 3. Budget Management: Establish and monitor project budgets. Approve procurement of materials, furniture, and fixtures. Manage cost variations and ensure financial targets are met.
  • 4. Procurement & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms. Coordinate delivery schedules and installation processes.
  • 5. Construction & Installation Oversight: Supervise on-site activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Coordinate with contractors, workers, and stakeholders. Monitor progress and resolve issues promptly.
  • 6. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Address and rectify non-conformance issues.
  • 7. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules. Track progress and adjust plans as needed. Ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • 8. Client Communication: Maintain transparent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Provide regular status updates and reports.
  • 9. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks. Develop mitigation strategies. Address unforeseen issues proactively.
  • 10. Post-Project Closure: Conduct final inspections and obtain approvals. Ensure proper handover of documentation, warranties, and manuals.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of furniture concepts and design principles.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Any relevant degree related to this profile.
  • 5+ years of experience in a project management or oversight role, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
