Finance Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to join our organization in the role of Finance Controller, Financial Planning & Analysis, Direct Taxation.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience post-qualification and CA qualification. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax audits and ensuring statutory compliance, adhering to SEBI regulations, CARO, and Schedule III requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing financial reporting in compliance with Ind AS
  • Driving and monitoring internal audit processes
  • Utilizing SAP for all financial operations and reporting
  • Performing financial analysis and reporting using Advanced Excel

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and MIS, advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Preparing and managing accurate and timely MIS reports
  • Driving budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan (AOP) processes
  • Leading periodic financial planning and performance reviews
  • Providing variance analysis – actual vs. budget/forecast
  • Conducting detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Building and maintaining financial models and dashboards using Advanced Excel
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to gather inputs for planning and forecasting
  • Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness in financial reporting
  • Tracking key business KPIs and suggesting improvements for financial efficiency
