Academic Mentor Role

This position plays a vital role in shaping the educational experience of students. As a mentor, motivator, and guide, you will track academic progress, maintain strong relationships with students and parents, and help create a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students, offering guidance and support to help them excel academically and personally.
  • Organize and lead student activities, clubs, and programs that encourage both academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and counselors to address student concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide necessary interventions.

Student Engagement & Mentorship:

  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • Organize and lead student activities, clubs, and programs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and counselors.

Academic Performance & Support:

  • Monitor student academic progress, identify challenges, and provide necessary interventions.
  • Conduct continuous assessments and evaluations.
  • Work closely with teachers and counselors to develop customized academic plans.

Parent Communication & Collaboration:

  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians.
  • Organize and participate in parent meetings and conferences.
  • Address parental concerns, provide guidance, and suggest ways they can support their child's education at home.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, assessments, and behavioral observations.
  • Prepare reports and conduct data analysis on student performance and development.
  • Utilize MIS and other educational software for efficient data tracking and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Passion for mentoring and guiding students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to track and analyse student performance.
  • Proficiency in maintaining records and using educational software.
