Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and support our next-generation private cloud platform.


About the Role

This is a critical leadership position that requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure principles, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
  • Develop and maintain integrations for core cloud services including network service isolation, tenant-aware resource scheduling, and load balancing.
  • Implement continuous delivery pipelines for cloud updates, including patch management, service upgrade testing, and rollback procedures.
  • Develop automated monitoring, alerting, and healing mechanisms using GitOps principles and observability stacks.
  • Harden services for high availability, disaster recovery, and scale-out operations.
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and performance analysis of cloud services across control and data planes.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience operating and automating large-scale cloud environments, preferably in community-driven or upstream-contributing teams.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud services including Neutron, Octavia, Manila, Cinder, Nova, Ironic, and Glance.
  • Strong Linux systems engineering background with advanced scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Fluency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking, SDN overlays, load balancing, and storage protocols.
  • Demonstrated success building or maintaining multi-region or high-availability cloud clusters.
  • Ability to write technical documentation and contribute to community wikis or knowledge bases.
