Software Development Specialist

As a Software Development Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and implementing software solutions that integrate MarkLogic with existing enterprise platforms and systems.

  • Design and develop software solutions that integrate MarkLogic with existing enterprise platforms and systems.
  • Develop and support XQuery, JavaScript, CORB, and REST modules on the MarkLogic technology stack using DHF.
  • Create, execute, and document unit testing using the MarkLogic Unit Test framework.
  • Work closely with data analysts to assess and troubleshoot potential data quality issues at the attribute level.
  • Understand functional and non-functional requirements and participate in discussions with analysts.
  • Maintain and continuously update technical skills and knowledge in MarkLogic.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement high-performance solutions using XQuery, XML/JSON, and XSLT.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and contribute to the development of new ideas and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of MarkLogic Database version 9 and above, including search APIs and features.
  • Deep understanding of MarkLogic architecture and security concepts.
  • Experience with XML schema/content modeling in MarkLogic.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with tools such as CORB, MLCP, XQSync, and Splunk.
  • Knowledge of high-performance solution design, including DHF 4.x/5.x and Template-Driven Extraction.
  • Experience with Gradle or Roxy framework for code deployment.
  • Understanding of semantics and triples.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and debugging RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with other NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra or MongoDB, is a plus.
