The Opportunity:

As a Senior Account Reconciliation Specialist at Avantor, you will be responsible for handling customer/distributor accounts and end-to-end account reconciliation. You will monitor credit block releases based on payments and outstanding amounts, and resolve disputed payment/invoice issues with customers.

Key responsibilities include reaching out to customers for account reconciliation, payment issues, and invoice details against unadjusted payments. You will act as a liaison between the company and customers, managing overdue accounts.

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Experience: At least 8+ years of trade collection experience.

How you'll thrive and create an impact:

1) Analyze accounts receivables, including AR ageing, past dues performance, and bad debts. Propose write-offs to senior management and track P&L performance.

2) Adhere to AR policies and collections strategies to achieve collection efficiency.

3) Engage in problem-solving exercises and fix root cause problems related to AR ageing and recurring issues.

4) Work closely with the commercial team to review payment terms and credit limits, and with the global risk team to implement payment terms and credit limits.

5) Share monthly forecasts with business leaders on expected collections.

6) Identify root causes and analyze payments-related disputes, implementing corrective measures and managing stakeholders/customer escalations.

7) Participate in new pilot projects and initiatives related to AR.

8) Coordinate with third-party collections agencies for better cash flow.

9) Track and work closely with GBC on unapplied allocated payments in suspense GL on a monthly basis.

10) Liaise with legal departments for disputed customers.

11) Perform quarterly reviews of channel partner agreements regarding payment terms vs SAP.

12) Prepare and submit AR audit schedules in a timely manner.
