Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Switchgear Design Specialist. This role requires a high degree of expertise in switchgear design, with a strong emphasis on compliance with relevant industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed designs for enclosures, busbar supports, frames, and layouts for switchgear using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Ensure designs comply with UL 1558 (Switchgear), UL 891 (Switchboards), UL 508A (Control Panels), and UL 67 (Panelboards).
  • Interpret electrical schematics to ensure proper mechanical/electrical integration and collaborate with electrical designers to provide fully integrated solutions.
  • Address thermal management, mechanical strength, structural stability, and vibration while validating designs for manufacturability, reliability, and compliance.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience in switchgear design.
  • Pure switchgear knowledge and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven hands-on experience with switchgear design.
