MPLS Network Engineer

The primary objective of this role is to successfully migrate IP MPLS networks from Juniper to Nokia devices.

To achieve this, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both Nokia and Juniper router configurations.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing networks in accordance with network layer design principles.

A strong background in networking fundamentals is essential for success in this position.

  • Extensive experience working with Nokia and Juniper routers is required. Cisco router experience is not considered.
  • Configuring and implementing networks in line with LLD designs is a key aspect of this role.
  • Familiarity with IP/MPLS protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRRP, LDP, RSVP-TE, Segment routing is necessary.
  • Knowledge of L2 & L3 services using VPLS,VPRN / MP-BGP is also required.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring routers/switches with Command Line Interface, Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper L2 VPN, L3 VPN, VPWS – (epipe, apipe, cpipe), qos, multicast is essential.
  • Practical knowledge of 7750SR, NE integration, SW upload & upgrade, backups, alarm monitoring and interpretation is also necessary.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 to 10 years of experience in a similar role and be willing to work onsite in Hyderabad or Pune.

A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential for success in this position.
