Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead our team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results.

The role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for improving efficiency, streamlining build-test pipelines, and driving faster development cycles. As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers based in Bangalore, improving build-test pipelines, collaborating with global teams to optimize automation strategies, working with key stakeholders across multiple locations, driving automation strategies, ensuring scalable, resilient, and deterministic pipelines, addressing test flakiness, enhancing pipeline stability, and improving test determinism.

You will also be expected to lead by example, contributing to design, development, debugging, and making development pipelines robust. Additionally, you will mentor and develop engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth, and define and leverage metrics to refine automation processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of software engineers based in Bangalore, improving build-test pipelines

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, 3+ years of technical management experience, and 10+ years of software development experience in Python, Golang, or similar languages. You should also have expertise in microservices, REST APIs, and developer tooling, as well as proven expertise in managing projects throughout the software development lifecycle. Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of automated test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable build-test automation.

  • Technical Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of technical management experience
  • 10+ years of software development experience in Python, Golang, or similar languages
  • Expertise in microservices, REST APIs, and developer tooling
  • Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Deep understanding of automated test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable build-test automation
