Remote Animation Mentor Position

We are seeking an experienced animation supervisor to mentor and direct our in-house artists, particularly in the field of animation. This is a part-time remote position that requires approximately 5-10 hours of work per week.

  • Providing training on Autodesk Maya and Blender software for film and advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  • Prioritizing teaching on animation and rigging in various styles, including realistic, cartoonish, and stylized.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient teaching methods for in-house animators and riggers to enhance their skills.
  • Sharing insights into experience as an animator and rigger in the global cinema industry.

The ideal candidate should have mastery of animation principles, ability to apply them flexibly, and expertise in animation workflows and pipelines. Additionally, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to create rigs that facilitate animators are essential.

This role involves:

  • Responsibility for providing weekly reviews individually or in groups remotely via GMeet or Zoom.
  • Assisting in designing training assignments and providing feedback.
  • Answering questions online via chat (Google Chat).
