Job Title:

  • Visual Effects Artist Mentor

Seeking a highly skilled VFX artist to mentor and train artists in Visual Effects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the global cinema industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive Houdini software training from basic to advanced levels.
  • Teach techniques for creating convincing results through Lookdev.
  • Provide solutions for integration from Houdini to Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Offer effective teaching to enhance the skills of in-house VFX artists.
  • Share expertise as a VFX artist in film, animation, or TV series productions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a VFX supervisor with knowledge of the overall VFX workflow and production process understanding.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles.
  • Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing excellent skills and creative approach.
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.

Job Description:

  • Collaborative and communicative team player.
  • Availability to provide weekly reviews remotely via Google Meet or Zoom.
  • Assistance in designing training assignments and providing feedback.
  • Part-time work arrangement: approximately 5-10 hours/week.
  • Work-from-home arrangement only.
