Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing new functionality for use in multi-tier, web-based products for financial institutions.

This involves working at multiple layers in the technology stack such as DB, Application Layer, and UI Layer.

Candidates should have experience with Java, Python or other appropriate languages.

Working with Amazon Web Services and cloud technologies like Docker, Nomad, Terraform is also required.

The successful individual will commit to producing high-quality, highly performant, and robust software within agreed time estimates and quality standards.

They will contribute to estimation exercises that feed into product roadmaps plans.

Additionally, they will participate in changes and continuous improvements to existing software development, testing, and deployment processes.

Troubleshooting Development and Production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms is also necessary.

Regularly updating job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations is essential.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Strong development experience with Java, with Spring.
  • Extensive experience with Git and GitHub, Maven, AWS, and one or more major RDBMS preferably Postgres.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to show flexibility and reach compromise where appropriate.
  • Proven experience working with Agile SDLC methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Willingness to take ownership for assigned aspects of the project(s) and proven ability to work constructively in a shared team environment.
  • Primary or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Full Professional Proficiency of English.
