Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in data engineering to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud solutions for the Oil & Gas industry.

About the Role:

This role is focused on developing and maintaining large-scale data systems, leveraging AWS cloud services to ingest, process, and store structured and unstructured data from various sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Lake Formation.
  2. Ingest, process, and store structured and unstructured data from multiple sources including IoT devices, sensors, ERP systems, drilling logs, production data, etc.
  3. Implement data lake and data warehouse solutions to meet business requirements.
  4. Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost, and scalability.
  5. Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, and business analysts to translate Oil & Gas business requirements into data solutions.
  6. Ensure data governance, data quality, and security compliance.
  7. Support real-time data streaming and analytics using AWS services such as Kinesis, Kafka, and Lambda.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AWS services including S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Lake Formation.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python, or SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of data lake and modern data architecture.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
