Job Title: Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Compliance Specialist to lead our financial services startup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement RBI, SEBI, FEMA, and other regulatory guidelines relevant to the business.
  • Evaluate timely filings and reporting to regulators.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular internal reviews and compliance risk assessments.
  • Identify process gaps and propose corrective actions.
  • Track remediation of compliance issues and ensure timely closure.
  • Draft and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for internal compliance controls.
  • Educate internal teams on compliance obligations through training and awareness programs.
  • Support internal, statutory, and regulatory audits.
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate compliance queries across departments.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure organization-wide compliance.
  • Provide insights on compliance risks during product and process development.

The ideal candidate should possess strong understanding of financial regulations, attention to detail, and ability to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks in a dynamic startup environment.

Role Requirements:

  • CA (Inter), CS, MBA (Finance)
  • 2–4 years of experience in compliance, internal audit, or risk management, preferably in NBFC, fintech, or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of RBI, SEBI, FEMA, AML, and other financial regulations.
  • Experience with compliance monitoring tools and MS Excel-based reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
