Job Title:

Program Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our field operations, oversee Program Associates, and maintain strong relationships with farmers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management: Manage 3+ Program Associates, supervise the implementation of protocols and experiments, ensure timely and accurate data entry, and conduct audits and quality control.
  • Farmer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with farmers, obtain stocking, harvest, and other farm information at timely intervals, and update our data accordingly. Spend 50%+ of your time in the field engaging with stakeholders.
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance: Provide input during strategic meetings with leadership, lead the process of enrolling new farms in our initiative, and conduct ground-truthing.
Requirements:
  • Nationality: Right to work in India
  • Experience with field programs: 1 year of experience managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors
  • Language: Fluent in oral and written Telugu and English
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required, expect extensive field work in surrounding villages
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads
Ideal Criteria:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or greater in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Social Sciences, or other sciences
  • Technical expertise: Previous experience with water quality analysis and management in aquaculture

This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to improving animal welfare.
