Job Summary:

  • This role is responsible for handling the day-to-day activities of the human resources department.
  • The Human Resources Assistant will be involved in processing payroll, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and coordinating with HR for various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding/offboarding, promotions, and other payroll-impacting changes.
  • Handle payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, bonuses, and other compensation-related components.
  • Prepare payroll reports for internal use and external audits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and earnings.
  • Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts.
  • Assist with year-end activities such as tax form distribution.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and payroll compliance regulations.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
