Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering Lead to oversee the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical systems. This role will play a pivotal part in establishing and implementing SRE best practices, leading a team of engineers, and driving automation, monitoring, and incident response strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reliability & Performance:
    • Lead efforts to maintain high availability and reliability of critical services, ensuring seamless user experiences and business continuity.
    • Define and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet business requirements.
    • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies, leveraging data-driven insights and root cause analysis.
  • Incident Management & Response:
    • Establish and improve incident management processes and on-call rotations, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
    • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for high-priority outages, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.
    • Drive post-incident reviews and ensure actionable insights are implemented, promoting continuous improvement and growth.
  • Automation & Tooling:
    • Develop and implement automated solutions to reduce manual operational tasks, increasing efficiency and reducing errors.
    • Enhance system observability through metrics, logging, and distributed tracing tools, providing real-time insights and visibility.
    • Optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments, ensuring rapid innovation and deployment velocity.
  • Collaboration:
    • Partner with software engineering teams to improve the reliability of applications and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and alignment.
    • Work closely with product/engineering teams to design scalable and robust systems, meeting business needs and user expectations.
    • Ensure seamless integration of monitoring and alerting systems across teams, promoting visibility and alignment.
  • Leadership & Team Building:
    • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of SREs, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
    • Promote SRE best practices and foster a culture of reliability and performance across the organization, driving business outcomes and success.
    • Drive performance reviews, skills development, and career progression for team members, ensuring their growth and success.
  • Capacity Planning & Cost Optimization:
    • Perform capacity planning and implement autoscaling solutions to handle traffic spikes, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
    • Optimize infrastructure and cloud costs while maintaining reliability and performance, ensuring business value and ROI.
